U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Anthony Jerez, USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) combat cargo Marine and native of Orlando, Fla., directs a 7-ton truck off of a landing craft, air cushion with Assault Craft Unit 4 as 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Marines and equipment return from a bilateral exercise. The 22nd MEU is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
