U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (July 30, 2014) U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Brandon Love, right, Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 22, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), communications platoon sergeant and native of Hope, Neb., and Lance Cpl. Tanner Hemmingsen, CLB-22 radio operator and native of Elm Wood, Neb., clean a cargo container in preparation for a U.S. Customs and Boarder Protection inspection aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19). The 22nd MEU is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
