U. S. Marine instructors, in green uniforms, from Expeditionary Operations Training Group (EOTG) evaluate Marines from the security element platoon from 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, Oct. 9, 2015, as they participate in a live-fire qualification shoot, during the security element course held at the EOTG compound at Stone Bay, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. When the 22nd MEU composites in December, 1st Bn, 6th Marines, is slated to become the Ground Combat Element (GCE) of the 22nd MEU. The security element course is an EOTG-led training regimine, which gives infantry Marines the additional skills and mindset to serve as a secuirty cordon force during actions conducted by Special Operations Forces (SOF).
