190425-M-YD783-1001 ZARQA, Jordan (April 25, 2019) A Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army soldier executes a figure four variation choke technique on Sgt. Nicole Turner, a heavy equipment mechanic, as a part of Marine Corps Martial Arts Program training with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit’s female engagement team. Marines exchanged combat tactics, techniques and procedures with JAF soldiers as a part of the training. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
