CAMP BEUHRING, Kuwait (April 11, 2019) – A U.S. Marine MV-22 Osprey makes hovers while landing support specialists with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit hook a 1,500 pound beam as part of helicopter support team training during Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise at Camp Beuhring, Kuwait. The Marines, with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 264 (Reinforced) and Combat Logistics Battalion 22, participated the training to build and sharpen their skills in order to maintain combat readiness. Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU and Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group are currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
