Although rough by U.S. standards and not yet complete, concrete and gravel fill a huge crater in a road in Hit, Iraq that for months had slowed traffic and disrupted commerce in the city. Engineers from MEU Service support Group 22, the combat service support element of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), filled the pothole Jan. 1, 2006 as part of the MEU's ongoing civil military and counterinsurgency efforts in Iraq's Al Anbar province.
