Minutes after discovering an improvised explosive device and destroying an insurgent bomb placement team, a group of heavily-armed Marines from Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 2nd Marines head back to their vehicles after searching the area around the engagement site near Forward Operating Base Hit, Iraq, Jan. 2, 2006. The patrol was in support of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) as it continues its ongoing counterinsurgency efforts in Iraq's Al Anbar province with the 2nd Marine Division.
