22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit communications platoon members, Sgt. Johnathon D. Halstead, left and Cpl. Ruben Ruiz, show pure determination during a bungee run competition that tested the Marines' strength and ability to slam a marker onto a giant Velcro ruler. The bungee run took place aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C. May 7, 2008, during the unit's "Warrior Day," which aimed at strengthening unit cohesion and promoting esprit de corps. The 22nd MEU is scheduled to deploy next year. (Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Theodore W. Ritchie) ::n::
