Cpl. Donald R. White Jr. from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit logistics section, and Cpl. Yao Ting He from the MEU operations section, set up a tent during a training exercise June 2, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C. The Marines were setting up the MEU command post to establish and confirm operating procedures for a deployment next year. Expeditionary units like the 22nd MEU must be prepared to operate in all environments, whether it is from the decks of amphibious ships, or in austere field settings.
