080912-M-8488M-001 Sgt. Maj. Thomas F. Hall, left, the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit Sergeant Major, addresses the Marines and sailors of the MEU after an early morning formation run aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Sept. 12, 2008. More than 1,200 Marines and sailors participated in the massive, three-mile formation run. The run was the first event of a six-month training period and subsequent six-month deployment. Hall emphasized the Marines and sailors were now one team and would soon serve as ambassadors of the Marine Corps and the United States of America. (Official Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
