Colonel Eric J. Steidl, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit's commanding officer, and Denver native, talks to family readiness volunteers during a meet-and-greet held at the Paradise Point Golf Course Clubhouse aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 3, 2010. The meet-and-greet gave the commanding officer an opportunity to discuss with the volunteers what to expect in the upcoming months. Family Readiness Volunteers are spouses and family members of MEU Marines and Sailors that volunteer their time to assist the Family Readiness Officer in the execution of the Unit Family Readiness Program.
