Marines with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit wait in a classroom before beginning the M-50 gas mask familiarization and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense class aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 25, 2010. The MEU was the first major subordinate command in the Marine Corps on the east coast to receive the new M-50 gas mask for training. The annual training is designed to instill confidence in the mask and ensure the Marines know the proper procedures in the event of a CBRN attack.
