The 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable)'s recent amphibious landing exercise (PHIBLEX) in Albania, March 8 to 12, afforded the Marines of Battalion Landing Team 1st Bn., 6th Marines the opportunity to conduct live-fire training and small unit training.For BLT 1/6's Bravo Co., in addition to patrolling and several day and night live fire evolutions, the unit conducted small arms familiarization training with a group of Albanian soldiers.The 22d MEU (SOC) is deployed aboard the amphibious assault ships WASP, WHIDBEY ISLAND, and SHREVEPORT as part of Expeditionary Strike Group 2.For more information on the mission, organization, and status of the 22d MEU (SOC), visit the unit's web site at
